Kibbitznest is a 501(c)3 organization. Kibbitznest, Inc is dedicated to the preservation of quality human interaction. Our ultimate objective is to promote a better understanding of the world and its people by coming together face-to-face to experience being human by teaching, by learning, by listening, by reading, by arguing, by discussing, and by inquiring. We encourage a balance between face to face and electronic communication.

Join us for Eric Pickersgill, an internationally exhibited artist and photographer, for the grand opening of KIBBITZNEST BOOKS, BREWS & BLARNEY, sponsored by Gold Coast Bank! More at www.removed.social

Eric's work focuses on the psychological and social effects that cameras and their artifacts have on individuals, especially in the age of social media.

Guests are asked to bring donations of used books in the liberal art category to benefit the nonprofit Kibbitznest organization.

Our new bookbar features various seating options to play games, relax, unplug and chat with fellow visitors and enjoy a menu of cheeses, Chicago-style hot dogs and ice cream, along with beer, wine and slow-brewed coffee. Guests are encouraged to browse our carefully curated selection of uncommon and interesting books, both new and used, in the liberal arts category. The shop also stocks fun and interesting book-related, retro, and socially engaging gift items geared toward encouraging social interaction, traditional human communication, and intellectual stimulation.

The kibbitznest nonprofit organization is a registered 501(c)3 and proud wifi-free zone dedicated to the preservation of quality human face-to-face communication. The ultimate goal is to promote an understanding of the world and its people by coming together face-to-face to think, to teach, to talk, to listen, to read, to argue, to discuss, to inquire, to look at, and to be human.
