Happy Now?

Discussion with Photographer
Jay Wolke
&
Author
James McManus

What are the mechanisms of temptation?
How do industries that profit from hope and fantasy foster economic disparity?
Can fulfillment be found in the American Dream?

Join photographer Jay Wolke and writer James McManus at Kibbitznest for an evening's discussion around the allure and impact of gaming, celebrity, and material excess. Both artists have created works that address our love for, and participation in, the enterprises that encourage risk and reward. Wolke's recently published monograph of 1980s and 90s Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City, Same Dream Another Time will inform and inspire our conversation. McManus, author of Positively Fifth Street and essayist for Wolke's book, will contribute extensive insights from his years of experience in the world of poker.

Signed copies of publications by both artists will be available.

FREE & OPEN to the Public!
