The music we listen to has the power to shape our lives, our choices, and our very identities. We all have songs that mark specific moments in our lives, songs that take us immediately back into our past, no matter when we hear them or how much time has passed. La Caccina calls these "Lifeline Songs," and we've gathered the ones that mean the most to our audiences and created fresh arrangements that honor your stories and your experiences. From the very earliest memories of dancing on the feet of your father, to the last time you say goodbye to a beloved relative, and everything in between, Lifeline tracks the songs that have shaped your life and made you who you are today. This concert blends dramatic readings and the singing of all original arrangements for a truly moving experience.

About LA CACCINA:
La Caccina is professional women’s vocal ensemble and non-profit based in Chicago, founded in 2011 by three friends who shared a passion for choral music. La Caccina finds its namesake in Francesca Caccini, a prolific Baroque composer known for her virtuosic musicality and beautiful singing voice. Following in Caccini’s footsteps, the women of La Caccina bring a wide range of expertise to the ensemble, enabling them to easily adapt to a wide range of musical styles. La Caccina is dedicated to exploring the power of the female voice and contributing new and innovative works to the treble cannon.
